From the stark inaccuracy of the first sentence on, this review is an embarrassment.

Sounded like somebody listened to the first couple songs they could find in the back catalog and read a wikipedia bio and then thought they could write a comparative review. Too bad.

I give pitchfork props for one thing. The album player that accompanies the review. it's my first listen to Josephine as a whole and I'm blown away! I wont get carried away with rankings and hyperbole, but at first listen it is so much more than I expected, and I expected like it a lot.

ah hahaha. pitchfork is awful. every time i listen to what they like, I end up shaking my head in confusion. it's what i call the pitchfork effect: if they review it and love it, i tend avoid the record... that's not always a good idea, but it works most of the time.
